Mendelssohn's Sonata for Cello and Piano... impressed for the unanimity of approach from both artists – uncompromisingly ardent in its opening, a mischievous scherzo and Selby's superbly voiced Adagio chorale marvellously introducing Newman's exquisite, lyric cello.
